In July 2026, I was honoured to receive the Canada Strong Medal in recognition of outstanding contributions to helping build a stronger Canada. I receive it with gratitude for the volunteers, families and community partners who made my own service possible.

Quick answer
What does this recognition mean to me?
It is encouragement to keep serving, listening and contributing in practical ways. Community progress is shared work, never the achievement of one person alone.
Recognition rooted in service
My community work has included youth civic participation, education advocacy, faith formation, local health-care support and practical charitable projects. Each experience reinforced the same lesson: reliable service requires listening, coordination and follow-through.
A responsibility to continue
I do not see the medal as an endpoint. Recognition matters most when it strengthens the responsibility to remain available, learn from others and help people feel informed and included.
