Under provincial supervision, decisions normally made by trustees—except denominational matters—are made by the appointed Supervisor. Yan’s plan focuses on listening, transparent updates, documented follow-up and evidence-based advocacy while preparing for accountable local governance if authority is restored.

Toronto Cathay Lions Club member

Yan has been a Toronto Cathay Lions Club member since 2012. Over time, he has served as Membership Chair and Vice-President and currently serves as Director and Webmaster. During his membership, the club donated 210 children’s backpacks to Autism Ontario to support students preparing for the school year.

Trustee relevance: sustained volunteer service, teamwork and attention to practical needs in the community.
