Experience connected to the role
I am a father of three and a Catholic school parent. My service includes Catholic School Council, SEAC, the Association for Bright Children of Ontario, ACE Ontario, Children’s Liturgy and long-term community volunteering. These experiences have taught me to listen across different needs, review details and work with others rather than claim credit alone.
An honest view of governance
YCDSB is under provincial supervision. While supervision continues, the Supervisor exercises most powers normally held by the board, apart from denominational matters. I will not promise decisions that belong to the Supervisor, staff professionals or a future board vote. I can promise preparation, respectful advocacy, verified information and public follow-up.
What I will not do
- Direct staff or promise a particular outcome in a confidential student matter.
- Use fear or stereotypes when discussing students who need support.
- Claim every program can grow while every cost falls.
- Hide a difficult trade-off behind board jargon.
