No. It is a classroom plan for every student: strong instruction and enrichment, clear safety expectations, timely help when a student needs it and system-level reporting that shows whether resources are reaching schools.

Catholic schools should protect the conditions needed for literacy, mathematics, faith formation, science, the arts, physical education, technology and daily enrichment. Students need appropriate challenge as well as support.

Safe, calm and respectful classrooms

Appropriate support and accountability
Students may need help with learning, communication, mental health, attendance, accessibility or transitions. Support should be based on the individual, not stereotypes. At the system level, families should receive privacy-protected information about staffing, wait times, incidents, progress and service gaps.
How I would approach difficult cases
A trustee must not direct staff or discuss a child’s confidential case in public. The role is to listen, help families understand the correct process, examine patterns and ask whether policy, staffing, training or resources are working across the system.
The standard I would bring
I will not frame student support and classroom safety as opposing sides. I will ask what will help the student, protect others, support staff and restore learning. Families deserve honest explanations about what is available, what is changing and who is responsible for the next step.
