Support Yan Zhou for YCDSB Trustee in Markham Area 2

Thank you for your interest in supporting my campaign for YCDSB Trustee in Markham Area 2, representing Markham Wards 4, 5, 7, and 8.

I am running because I believe Catholic school families deserve strong local representation, clear communication, responsible decision-making, and practical support for students and school communities.

This campaign is about listening to families, supporting students, strengthening Catholic school communities, and helping parents feel more informed and connected.

There are many ways you can help — by voting, introducing me to families, sharing my website, volunteering, requesting a lawn sign, canvassing, or making a campaign contribution.

Election Date

The next Ontario municipal and school board election will take place during the voting period:

October 16–26, 2026

The official province-wide municipal election day is Monday, October 26, 2026, when voters across Ontario will elect municipal representatives and school board trustees.

For this campaign, Markham Area 2 includes Markham Wards 4, 5, 7, and 8.

First, Please Verify Your Voter Eligibility

Before voting, please confirm that you are eligible to vote for the YCDSB Trustee in Markham Area 2.

Generally, you must be an eligible voter and registered as a Catholic school supporter in order to vote for the York Catholic District School Board trustee.

This is especially important if you recently moved, changed school support, became a new voter, are not sure whether you are registered as a Catholic school supporter, or are not sure whether you live in Markham Ward 4, 5, 7, or 8.

Please check your voter information through the City of Markham election office or the official voter lookup tools before election day.

Vote for Yan Zhou

If you are an eligible Catholic school supporter living in Markham Wards 4, 5, 7, or 8, I would be grateful for your vote for:

Introduce Me to Catholic School Families

Personal introductions are one of the most helpful ways to support the campaign.

If you know Catholic school parents, Catholic ratepayers, parish members, Catholic School Council volunteers, or community members in Markham Wards 4, 5, 7, or 8, I would be grateful for an introduction.

You can simply say:

This campaign will grow through conversations, trust, and community support.

Volunteer help may include:

Host a Small Parent Conversation

A small conversation with parents, neighbours, or friends can be very helpful.

It does not need to be formal. It can be a coffee chat, a small home gathering, a community conversation, or an online meeting.

The purpose is simple: to listen, answer questions, and talk about how we can better support students and Catholic school communities.

Share Feedback and Advice

I welcome respectful feedback from parents, educators, school council members, parish members, and community volunteers.

Your advice helps me better understand the needs of students, families, and schools across Markham Area 2.

Stay Connected

Please stay connected through my website and future campaign updates.

This campaign is not only about election day. It is about building relationships, listening to families, and helping more parents understand the school board system.
